Valentine's Day & a question for Mac users.

How was your Valentine's Day?!?

I'm currently typing on my band new MACBOOK PRO!!

For Christmas one thing my parents gave me was $200 towards my MacBook. Lucas said he'd pay for a couple hundred.. However, I sucked at saving my money so Lucas said that for my birthday he'd pay for more of my MacBook. So, I decided to start saving. I have a few hundred saved up to go towards my MacBook..

Well, it's about 5:30 on Valentine's Day and we plan on leaving for the Maroon 5 concert at 6:30. I ask Lucas if I was getting anything for Valentine's Day.. he tells me that he has to run to he store.

I was pissed. I told him not to get me something last minute and being the complete brat I am I told him that it wouldn't top my rings from the past two years.

Around 6:15 he calls me to tell me he's almost here and asks me why I sounded so upset. He walks in the door a few minutes later with flowers. He's very good at picking out flowers. Even though I tell him to just go buy cheap ones he always goes to a florist and picks out the ones he knows I'd like. I'm not a big fan of roses, I like different flowers, really pretty ones. He really does always do an awesome job at picking flowers.. but, I was still kind of bummed.. and I'm so embarrassed by it but, I actually said to him, "I really thought that you would of surprised me with a MacBook." And here's the thing, I never thought that. It was that moment of being really mad and I just said the most selfish thing I could think of.

He told me that he would get it for my birthday and he had my gift in his car. He goes outside and comes back in with.. my MacBook Pro. With 2 year insurance, virus protection.. everything. I started balling. I felt awful. But, I was so surprised and so happy. I guess sometimes last minute gifts aren't so bad. And I guess sometimes my only child syndrome shines through.

Maroon 5 was FABULOUS!! But, I'll save that for another day.

I do have a quick question for all Mac users! My other laptop was Windows.. I used live writer to write all my blog posts. I felt like it was so much easier and I really loved it. Obviously I can't use it now with my Mac. I tried to find other blog editors and I couldn't find any free ones. I really would rather not pay for an editor.. unless I know for sure that it's amazing. What do you guys use for your blog posts or do you just use blogger?! HELP!!!

I'm here to show off what I received from a Valentine's Day swap I participated in!

Love, Fun & Football

The amazing Wendy from Our Happily Ever After sent me the perfect gift!

I was a little sad that the fondue set broke during shipping..
but, the chocolate didn't and I believe my mom has a small one so I can still use it!

I was so happy with everything Wendy sent me! It's very possible that the chocolate didn't last more than 3 days.. ooops.

Hope you all had the perfect Valentine's Day! I also hope that all the candy is on sale now!

Now or never... (QUICK UPDATE)

I wasn't lying when I said that I wanted to get back into blogging. However, life took multiple turns and I've been too busy to sit down at my computer and produce a decent blog post. It can't hurt to fill in anyone that still reads my blogs, but might not closely follow me on social media. After TWO years of being single and not being into the idea of dating anyone, I'm actually in a relationship. I know at the beginning of a relationship it's expected to be in the state that you feel like you've never been happier. The difference is, I've known my boyfriend for 11 years. When we were young, we'd always act like a couple. We never had a "title" back then no matter how many times we reconnected. Seven months ago, he finally moved back home. I was so excited to have him back in my life. Then I realized that I wasn't okay with just being his friend. After about 5 months of blowing him off and him giving up trying to hang out, I finally ex...

Sleepy Momma

I did plan on posting this previous week and the week before.. however, I've been so incredibly exhausted and busy. I guess that's a great way of putting, welcome to mom life! To be completely honest, I'm so happy with where I'm at in life right now. Yes, there are things that are difficult to deal with and I know some of those things will always be hard. For a while I wished that I could go back well over a year ago and made a different decision. I don't wish that now because I've grown so much and gained things I could never give up. My strength, my motivation and my happiness is at an all time high. It feels amazing. In other news...  I finally got a kitten! She's such a sassy girl, but she can be the most loving thing at times! When she wakes up and I'm next to her or when I pick her up, she grabs my cheeks and kisses me.  The bottom left photo is a result of a playful kitty that needs her nails trimmed. If you foll...

Thoughts from an ex-blogger..

My desire to get back to writing has been so strong lately. I can't seem to figure out if I want to blog again. At the same time, I REALLY want to blog again. I've found comfort in my privacy. This comfort has made me uncomfortable with openly sharing details of my life. However, blogging always was there to provide me with an outlet to express my thoughts, feelings and emotions. The people I was able to connect with through blogging was always an incredible bonus. I didn't want to blog when I realized that people that I don't want to be part of my life were reading my blog posts. During this time I also stopped being active on Twitter and Instagram. I felt that it was unfair to me that specific people were able to catch up on my life via social media. There are many issue I face with returning to my blog. I need to allow myself to step outside of my comfort zone of keeping my life private. I need to be okay with the fact that some people, that shouldn't be ...
