A slight weekend recap.

I was stuck at school for 9 hours today and didn't get to recap my weekend. The best part was Saturday. I spent the night downtown. I had such a great time. I'll share some photos & vines with you guys.

Yes! Amazing seats! There was even a waiter!

That night I decided that I wasn't going to go to the Detroit Fireworks that were on Monday night. My reasoning was that I didn't want to get shot. As I was watching the Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup I start seeing tweets from all my friends that went to the Fireworks. Tweets about never going to Detroit again, tweets about gun shots and tweets about everyone just running in fear. I was so worried.

I read a lot of articles about it. Police claim no one was shot and that they can't confirm shots being fired. The videos are scary. One article even talked about how twice on Monday they found a suspicious package.

It makes me sad that I will never say I'm "from Detroit." I know I always say "Made in Detroit, but made for Nashville" simply because I love Kid Rock's Made in Detroit brand. Detroit is a beautiful city that has so much potential. The skyline is used in a lot of movie. It's a scary place though.

On another note, I'm very excited for this week and weekend. I have a lot planned. I can't wait to have another good weekend. I've been feeling so positive lately. Even on bad days I still find something to be happy about. This is huge for me right now. I will do my best to have a few more posts this week. Feel free to follow me on Twitter, Vine & Instagram if you want to keep up. All of my usernames are MandyShippe except I think you can find me on Vine as Amanda Shippe.

As always, thanks for sticking around through my months and months of crappy blogging!

You can’t blog with us!

I’m not digging all of these big shot bloggers trying to make these rules for blogging. I have read posts about how not everyone should have a blog. If you’re not a big shot blogger, like myself.. this post is for you. If you are a big shot blogger, this post is also for you.. but, none of you will read this. These are just some of the rules that I don’t follow.. Your blog will be judged by it’s cover. Have a perfect layout. If spending $100 to have some make a layout for my blog means you’ll read my blog and you’ll follow me.. then I don’t give a damn if you’re not following me. Respond to all comments left on your blog. It is important to respond to comments.. however, I do understand why people can’t always respond. Personally.. if you ask me something I most likely will respond. A lot of the time I get comments that pretty much all I can say is “Thank you!” to.. I mean.. I’ll absolutely always respond if you e-mail me.. or even if you comment on instagram.. I respond almost inst...

Friday’s Letters!!!!

Dear Bret Michaels, Once I had a film class. It was so badass and made me wish I was an actress. I actually love being in front of the camera acting.. ANYWAYS.. This was the closest I’ve been to you.. when I was on a fake Rock Of Love.. with a fake Bret Michaels.. But, I’ll be seeing you live this Saturday!!! Dear Poison and Def Leppard, See you on Saturday!!!.. I’m pretty damn nervous to party with a bunch of people older than my mom. But, thank you for giving me an excuse to have extra big hair and dress like I belong in the 80’s.. I’ll look better than all these old chicks that still live in the 80’s.. Just sayin’.. Dear Friday’s Letters, You always make me so happy to write! I love that this link up always gets me so much positive feedback! It always makes my Friday so much better!.. I work Friday nights and Saturday mornings.. so Friday isn’t always as awesome to me as it is to everyone else. Dear Ashley from Adventures of Newlyweds, The first time I ever linked up I mention...

Now or never... (QUICK UPDATE)

I wasn't lying when I said that I wanted to get back into blogging. However, life took multiple turns and I've been too busy to sit down at my computer and produce a decent blog post. It can't hurt to fill in anyone that still reads my blogs, but might not closely follow me on social media. After TWO years of being single and not being into the idea of dating anyone, I'm actually in a relationship. I know at the beginning of a relationship it's expected to be in the state that you feel like you've never been happier. The difference is, I've known my boyfriend for 11 years. When we were young, we'd always act like a couple. We never had a "title" back then no matter how many times we reconnected. Seven months ago, he finally moved back home. I was so excited to have him back in my life. Then I realized that I wasn't okay with just being his friend. After about 5 months of blowing him off and him giving up trying to hang out, I finally ex...
