Everyone deals with stress. Some of us are better at dealing with stress than others. I wish I was better at it, but I'm working on it. I'm the kind of person who holds everything in until I completely breakdown. It's so unhealthy. I'm the kind of person who doesn't cry much when I'm upset, I mostly cry when I'm overwhelmed or mad. There are a few things I do when I'm feeling stressed.
Listen to music. I drive between 140-180 miles a week just for school. No matter what obnoxious traffic jam I hit or whatever horrible mood I'm in, as soon as I turn on my Spotify I'm calm while I'm being a professional car singer.
Writing. I used to write a lot. I have so many journals filled with things that are sometimes hard to look back home. However, just writing in general calms me down. Which is why sometimes I don't even know why I bring my laptop to class, because I write everything. Sometimes I'll blog while I'm stressed or upset and it really does help. It might not help me keep readers, but it is what it is.
Netflix. I watch the stupidest movies when I'm feeling overwhelmed. Sometimes they're dark movies that kind of weird me out, sometimes they're stupid chick flicks that just make me laugh or sometimes they're sad movies and I can just cry it out. Somehow they all do the same thing, make me feel better.
Have a beer. I know that you shouldn't drink to get rid of a bad mood. That's never my intentions. Sometimes I'll finish off my day, come home, grab a beer and just relax.
Open up to someone. I have the hardest time talking to people about anything going on in my life. But sometimes when I feel like I can't hold it in, I'll open up to one of the few people I know that will sit there and listen to me.
Look at quotes. I have part of my biggest motivating quote tattooed on me. The full quote is, "Pain breeds strength, trust your struggle." It's such a great reminder. However, somedays I just need a little more and I'll search Pinterest for some quotes that remind me everything is going to be okay.

How do you handle stress?
I like this post. Unfortunately, I don't handle stress well at all. I just hold it in until I have anxiety so bad I can't see straight and then I cry.
